Dear Rising Stars Gymnastics Families,
We have re-evaluated our COVID policies to keep in line with current recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
After reviewing the recommendations from the CDC and MDH, we have decided to update our COVID-19 policies (effective July 12, 2021) as follows:
–Masks/face coverings will not be required, but are still strongly encouraged for all individuals—students, staff, families, and visitors who remain unvaccinated. RSGA students may choose to wear a mask/face covering during practice, remove it for a turn, or remove it entirely.
–All students are strongly encouraged to bring a water bottle (students on Xcel and Team are required to bring a water bottle as part of the necessary items for practice), but we have reopened our drinking fountains and are routinely sanitizing them throughout the day. Individual cups will not be distributed.
–Please continue to wash hands/use hand sanitizer upon arrival & before leaving the gym.
–Please be respectful of social distancing in lobby/entrance and in viewing areas.
If you are sick or test positive for COVID-19
–If you test positive for COVID-19 (whether or not you have been vaccinated), stay home and away from others, even if you do not have symptoms. Symptoms may appear up to 14 days after you are exposed to someone with COVID-19.
–You can spread COVID-19 to others several days before you have any symptoms, or even if you never have symptoms of COVID-19.
–REMEMBER: If you or anyone in your family is ill, please notify us and STAY HOME. We still have a responsibility to stop the spread of COVID-19
We understand there are varying opinions and feelings regarding these policies and we will continue to evaluate and adjust from CDC and MDH recommendations.
Thank you all for your continued support over the past 16+ months and we look forward to welcoming returning and new students and families to Rising Stars!
