Congratulations to our platinum team for taking second place at the state meet!
The platinum gymnasts had an amazing performance at the state which earned them the well-deserved runner up title! This is the highest any RSGA platinum team has placed at state!! They also set new team bars and beam records, as well as got a season high team score of 111.375 – this is the highest team score since 2018! Here are the highlights from each session!
Session 1 started bright and early with Cora B, Sophia S and Kayley H. They all had an amazing meet, and set some personal best scores!
Kayley H received a 9.55 on bars and a 9.5 on beam, earning second place on bars, first place on beam and second in the all-around!
Sophia S received a 9.05 on beam which is a new personal best for her, and earned 4th place on that event!
Cora B received a 8.85 on beam for her beautiful routine, and took 8th place on that event!
Session 2 had Veda C, Ali J, Keira J and Avery K competing! This group had a blast competing and showed off some amazing routines!
Veda C received a 9.575 on bars and a 9.475 on beam, earning first place on both events, and second place in the all-around!
Ali J received a 9.175 on floor, earning 7th place on that event!
Keira J received a 9.45 on beam and a 9.525 on floor which were both personal bests. These scores earned second on beam, first on floor, and fourth in the all-around!
Avery K received a 9.175 on beam and a 9.4 on floor, which are both new personal bests. These scores earned her second on beam and first on floor!
Session 3 had Zala B and Meghan L competing together, and it was fun! These two were so energetic and had a great time!
Zala B received a 9.2 on bars, which is a new personal best for her, and a 9.325 on floor! She took fourth on floor and in the all-around!
Meghan L received a 9.575 on bars, which is her new personal best! This score earned her first place on bars!
The last session had Luella E competing, and even though it was late, she still had a great time! Luella received a 8.85 on bars, which is a new personal best, and a 8.95 on beam, earning her second place!
We are so proud of the hard work these athletes put in before state, and it showed! Congratulations again RSGA Xcel Platinum!
