Preschool program (boys & girls, ages 18 months - 4 years)

The goal of our preschool program is to introduce gymnastics in a safe, positive, and fun environment. Basic tumbling progressions are taught at each level along with apparatus activities such as beam, bars, vault, and trampoline. We teach basic skills in a way that builds confidence and encourages little ones to crave more learning.

Progressive Program (boys 5-10 years & girls 5-12 years)

The goal of our progressive program is to teach basic fundamentals while safely learning new skills. The girls program includes progressions on tumbling, bars, vaulting, balance beam, and trampoline. The boys program includes progressions on tumbling, pommel horse, rings, parallel bars, vaulting, high bar, and trampoline. Strength and flexibility exercises, coordination, and balance are included in the program.

Junior and Senior High School Program (12-18 years)

Girls will work on all events: vault, bars, beam, and floor, to prepare for their competition season with their respective Jr/Sr High School team. The curriculum also includes trampoline, strength, and flexibility exercises. All equipment is new and state of the art, including Russian Trampoline, 40' Tumble Trak, portable training pits, spring floor, reflex balance beams, and reflex vaulting horse. This is a great training opportunity for high school gymnasts!

Prep Optional Xcel Program

Rising Stars Gymnastics Academy's Xcel program is open to all interested students who have achieved the required skills. The intention of the Xcel program is to help prepare the gymnasts for their High School gymnastics program by allowing them to gain valuable competitive experience as well as strength, flexibility, and confidence to pursue other activities.

Our Xcel gymnasts compete in Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels in the Prep Optional program under USAG rules. All levels use optional routines with specific skill difficulty requirements.

League Program Eligibility/Requirements:

  • Currently be in Masters level
  • Succesfully complete the evaluation process for League with your coach. There is a checklist of skills that are needed before a gymnast can be moved into League. Some of these skills are on the Masters Progress Check Card. The others she will start training in Masters as she moves up within the level.
  • Be a Rising Stars Academy member attending class at 1x per week. We recommend all League students attend class 2x per week.
  • Purchase the current League uniform and pay the required fees.
  • Sign up and pay competition fees by the due dates for the meets you choose to participate in. There will be approximately four meets to choose from throughout December to April.

Trampoline & Tumbling Program (boys & girls)

This class is specifically designed to improve progressions on the spring floor, Tumble Trak and trampoline. Strength and flexibility activities are also included in this class, and the class may be taken in addition to your regular class or separate.

USA Gymnastics Competitive Girls Team Program (invitation only)

Level 3 and 4 Training Team gymnasts are part of our beginning pre-team program. The girls work out two to three times a week year round from 2 to 3 hours each class.

Competitive gymnasts work out three to six days a week year round. Gymnasts compete in compulsory (Level 5 and 6) or in optional (Level 7 - Elite) at USA Gymnastics sanctioned meets.
